Ethical Hacking Roadmap
Ethical hacking, also known as "white hat" hacking, is the practice of using hacking techniques to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in computer systems and networks.
To learn ethical hacking, here is the ethical hacking roadmap :
- Learn the basics of networking and computer systems: Understanding how networks and systems work is essential to identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities.
- Familiarize yourself with hacking tools and techniques: Learn how to use common hacking tools and techniques, such as port scanning and vulnerability scanning, to identify vulnerabilities.
- Study security standards and best practices: Understand industry-standard security measures and best practices, such as the OWASP Top 10, to help identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Practice on your own or with others: Practice using hacking tools and techniques in a controlled and legal environment, such as on your own network or in a capture the flag (CTF) competition.
- Get Certified: Obtain a certification in Ethical Hacking such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), etc.
It's important to note that Ethical Hacking is a field that requires constant learning and updating as new vulnerabilities and threats appear. Cyber Security is a multi-disciplinary field, covering various domains like Network Security, Application Security, Cloud Security, IoT Security, etc. So, it's important to identify the domain of interest and focus on that.
